The Sport Grupa team currently consists of 70 dedicated professionals, most of whom have been with the company for over a decade.

We specialize in manufacturing high-quality sports surfaces and equipment for sports fields, and we proudly serve as contractors for sports facilities across Poland.

Our products are designed for both amateur enthusiasts and professional athletes.

Beyond the Polish market, we are successfully expanding internationally, with a significant share of our production exported to European countries and beyond.

Our headquarters and production facility are located in Mińsk Mazowiecki, Poland.

Our history

1983

Getting started

The history of our company dates back to the 1980s and begins in a home garage, where a few people used several machines to produce small steel equipment. In the beginning, these were sets of flat and socket wrenches for DIY enthusiasts who repaired their own cars, as well as metal weights for scales.

1990

Manufacture of sports equipment

In 1990, we entered the sports industry. We launched the production of our first sports product - a metal basketball hoop.

1993

Sure shot

Three years later, the quality of our metal sports equipment was noticed and appreciated by the American company Sure Shot. We established cooperation – we imported plastic basketball backboards from them, and they bought street basketball sets from us (the direct ancestor of today's #561 set, which can be found in our offer).

1996

First achievements

After several years of close cooperation with the Americans, the first major successes came - we were selected as the supplier of basketball equipment for the 1996 Olympic Games in Atlanta.

Our offer

60% of our production is basketball equipment.

Today, our offer includes not only basketball equipment, with which we started, but also equipment for other sports disciplines.

This is mainly heavy equipment made of steel or aluminum, such as goals, ball catches, Multisport Arena pitches, volleyball, badminton and tennis posts, but also small equipment made of other materials.

In addition to the production of sports equipment, our offer also includes the design and construction of pitches along with the installation of artificial sports surfaces such as artificial grass, polyurethane surfaces, modular polypropylene surfaces.

Production

FIBA and Institute of Sport quality certificates.

Each manufactured product consists of several to a dozen or more individual components, which are produced, painted, and assembled on-site. The technological process includes cutting, pressing, drilling, grinding, welding, deburring, degreasing, and painting.

Processes outsourced to external partners (cooperation) include hot-dip and electro-galvanizing. A separate process, also carried out in our factory, is screen printing, used to create prints on boards that are components of many basketball sets or sold as standalone products.

At Sport Grupa, strict attention is paid to safe usage aspects during product design and throughout the entire production process. The products we manufacture come with a declaration of conformity and a certificate issued by the Sports Institute.

Export

Our equipment is shipped to over thirty countries.

We are an exporter of sports equipment. The SURE SHOT logo can be seen on many courts, in schools, parks, and even private gardens in countries such as Denmark, Sweden, the United Kingdom, France, Germany, and Italy.

Our equipment has also reached more exotic destinations, including Ethiopia, Libya, Ghana, Tunisia, and even Hawaii.

Signature on medal

On November 15, 2011, during the ceremonial gala “Builders of Polish Sport” held at the Lubomirski Palace in Warsaw, our company was honored with the “Company of Distinction” award, presented by the Polish Club of Sports Infrastructure.

This recognition is not only a source of pride for us but also an additional motivation to continue working just as diligently and conscientiously in the years ahead, striving for growth and excellence.
